Yummy Peanut Blossoms

hese are an old childhood favorite of mine! They are so fun to make and SO good to eat:) They make a perfect holiday treat and are only 100 calories (for you "mousy" eaters)! Here's the recipe:)
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Butter, softened
3/4 cup Peanut Butter
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla
1/4 tsp Salt
1 3/4 cup Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 cup Sugar
About 36 Hersey Kisses

Add sugar, brown sugar, butter, and peanut butter to a mixing bowl and mix until softened. Then, add the egg, vanilla, and salt and mix together. Next, add flour and baking soda and again mix. Once you have all the ingredients mixed, prepare a separate bowl with the 1/4 cup sugar. Then, roll pieces of dough into one-inch balls and cover each one with sugar. Place sugar-covered dough onto a cookie sheet (do not grease, only 12 to a sheet) and bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes. Once out of the oven, insert a Hersey Kiss in the middle of each cookie. Do it as soon as it gets out of the oven. The kiss will stick better to the cookie and also retain it's shape. Let cool and enjoy:)
**I just learned this, replace Hersey Kisses with mini Reese's and it's magical!
